Wine of the Week - Ravenswood

Ravens Wood. (Shouldn't that have an apostrophe in it?) 2006

Good for an occasion. $11.25. A little over my usual limit.

I had a lot of trouble getting the label off. It was done with the old water base glue method. I had to soak it in hot water.

Wine of the Week - Pepperwood Zinfandel

Did I show this one before? I like the zinfandel but it generally is much more expensive than merlot or shiraz. This one is still in my range. Less than 10 bucks.

red wine, pepperwood, wine, Bettie Page,

Tasty and cheap. A bit tart but has a good body. I couldn't find the "layers of jammy fruit" but I probably didn't know where to look. And what the heck does "French Oak" taste like?

It's about 7 bucks but it was on our rack for a while. It's not a dated vintage so it is probably some kind of blend. I don't know. Maybe they can have a way to make every year's batch taste exactly the same. Maybe they only made one batch.

I wonder if Bettie Page would like it.
