Ginger Panda
Ann likes automatic car washes. She likes to sit in the car with the mechanical activity and sounds all around her. It is a kind of amusement park ride for her. In England the huge brushes used in automatic car wash establishments are primarily made of black and white material. Ann understandably nicknamed them “the pandas.” A red headed person in England is “ginger-haired.” In Oklahoma, the car washes have brushes that are often white or red or somewhere between because of the natural red earth our automobiles accumulate. Ann calls our car wash “The Ginger Panda.” |
