The Story Behind the Photograph - The Five Farley Twins

Harley and Marley the Farley twins had gone to the Feuerstein photograph studio last Friday for a portrait sitting. Today when they saw the prints, Harley remarked, “Do I have a moustache?” He was also a little troubled as he had always considered himself taller than Marley. Marley however was only concerned about the other three guys in the photo. Where did they come from? The photographer, Sims Napoleon, quickly explained that in an effort to slow global warming the studio was conserving paper by shooting and printing several portraits all in one frame. Marley and Harley the Farley twins thought this was a noble effort and paid Mr. Napoleon the four dollar fee for a print for each of them, including one for photographer Feuerstein who was home with the flu. They left a five cent tip. Marley, one of the Farley twins, excused himself and excitedly exited, hurrying off for his fiancée’s farm to show her the new portrait. He knew she would faint when she found that there were actually FIVE Farley twins. It would be fun explaining that. Harley, also one of the Farley twins, went directly to the Dooley Delicatessen on Delmar for a dozen doughnuts and a pair of lifts for his shoes. He was glad to learn about the three other brothers as he was keen to borrow their clothes. Harley was always planning ahead.
