Today in 1942 the inventor of runny mascara was born: Tammy Faye Baker.
Today in 1962, the Beatles made their broadcasting debut on BBC radio
Today in 1967 Sandra Dee divorced that boy singer.
In 1985 the song "We Are the World" was heard on the radio for the first time. And it has never stopped.
1994 - The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that parodies that poke fun at an original work can be considered "fair use" that does not require permission from the copyright holder.
Stan Freberg and Spike Jones got away with it for decades without bothering the Supreme Court about it.
