Music Monday - The Man behind the Animal

Today, in 1926, Ronnie Verrell was born. Ronnie Verrell played drums for several British jazz bands including most notably (for me at least) The Ted Heath Orchestra. Verrell was the drums behind the famous "Animal" of Jim Hensen's Muppets. You didn't know that. Sadly we lost Ronnie Verrell in 2002, tomorrow February 22.
