The front man in this edition of the Texas Gypsies is Steve Curry on Guitar. Steve plays a fine ax with some genuine Django Reinhart licks. Here he and bass man John Hewitt ham it up with some Hoosier Hot Shot style showmanship.
John and Steve also do most of the vocals.

The drum solo is always a crowd pleaser.
Here the task is taken on by drummer Andrew Griffith.

It’s Freddie Jones on trumpet. Freddie knows his way into some fine sounds. There some hot licks reminiscent of Roy Eldridge but here are some fine tones that recall Miles on an old Django Reinhardt tune.

For me the big events were a few solos by a master craftsman, Mike Sizer. He has his own bit but he wanders around through reminders of the tenor ofSam Butera to straight-down-the-line Benny Goodman technique on Clarinet. He spent 6 years with The Dukes of Dixieland.
No small accomplishment.
