Elvis' first record, Ray Charles at Newport and Bill Graham opening Fillmore West make this sort of slack day a really important day after all. Had forgotten about the "Some Girls" cover being pulled - seems pretty tame these days. However, the song "Some Girls" had to be so heavily sanitized when they tried to release it as a 45 for radio that it hardly sounded like the same song lyrically. One of Mick's nastier numbers!

Thanks TNPOTUS. Yep, not too bad a day after all, when you consider the resulting impact of those events. I couldn't find very many graphics to go along with the events.
