When I was in junior high and early high school, just beginning to try to deal with "that feeling" about females, part of my night time routine was to put albums by Roy Orbison, The Righteous Brothers and Gene Pitney on the spindle of the stereo (I know you know what a "spindle" and "stereo" are!) and listen to them while trying to fall asleep. It wasn't all that effective, however, because the ballads and love songs those guys sang just made me think about girls even more! :-)
Thanks TNPOTUS. I remember those days too. Except mine was decades before. Jazz was still the "popular" music. Crooners were established pretty well. Eddie Howard and that skinny kid.
