Jackie Gleason

Today in 1916 Jackie Gleason was born.

And away we go.

I did this painting in 1955.

Thanks, WWW. He certainly was gifted. I was always impressed by the part in his television show where just after the opening monologue, Gleason would call for a “little travlin’ music” and do a unique shuffle-dance, elbows flying, off into the stage wings.

The painting belongs to my son Bill.
