Maria Callas

I enjoy opera. Not all of it of course. I appreciate pieces here and there. Maria Callas was probably the single voice that I appreciate completely, anything she sang. Her life was as controversial as her voice was amazing. I didn't know she suffered from extreme myopia that left her nearly blind on stage. Maria Callas, the Controversial Diva. Today in 1977, we lost Maria Callas. Thanks for introducing me to the world of opera. We do miss you.
