In 1954, Bill Haley and the Comets recorded "Rock Around the Clock." The song was released a year later in the movie "Blackboard Jungle."
In 1966, Jan Barry (Jan & Dean) crashed his car at "Dead Man's Curve."
In 1969, Simon & Garfunkel's "The Boxer" was released.And perhaps the quest for the most perfect song was over for a while.
