Found Friday - Ethel

In the past year, fewer and fewer “found” items, grocery lists, sticky tab notes, homework, love notes and reminders, have been turning up. I have no idea why this is. In times past, I have found at least one interesting scrap of paper on every trip out to the grocery store or a neighboring state. But the pickings have been slim to none lately. Annie thinks it may be because people are using their phones to make lists or perhaps to call someone to remind them of what they are supposed to be doing. That sounds reasonable to me. So, until the scavenging improves, I will run a particularly fine “found” photograph from over in LOST GALLERY on each Found Friday. Just to fill in the gaps.

Hats - Hatman is Back! (He was never really gone.)

The game is to find a hat, find a mirror and get a shot of it without the shop owner catching me.

The lighting is not always ideal and sometimes the mirror is very small or dirty, but then you weren't expecting perfection, were you?

Hatman is back! (He was never really gone.)

Never fear, Hatman is here. Lurking in your shadow, picking in your pantry, down your street and up your alley, Hatman is always just about all there.

Have you ever wondered why there are dust bunnies under your bed? Well, you can’t blame Hatman; he ain’t never been there and he ain’t a-goin’ back.

Tuesday's Testament - Where Things Are Going

Large Hand-baskets are probably involved ...

Main Street

Once the corporations have all our money, who’s gonna buy their stuff? They don’t care. They’ll just quit buying people to run our government because they no longer need them.

But they'll give us all JOBS! They’ll put us all to work for the company and let us live in their shelters. They’ll feed us in the company kitchen as long as we’re productive.

Of course since no one has any money to buy things, our jobs will not be in manufacturing. We will all be service people. Servants. We’ll shine shoes, press shirts, peel potatoes, work the fields. A corporation’s gotta eat, you know.
