Music Monday - Peter Karp and Sue Foley
Saturday night at the Simmons Center in my home town we were treated to “He Said She Said” a collection of songs written and performed by Peter Karp and Sue Foley. If you are near their tour Go. Simply Go.
The songs are drawn from correspondence between Foley and Karp discussing the muddle of the music business and the rigors of the road. They became friends and the letters became the basis for lyrics.
I became a Sue Foley fan in 2003 at the Toronto Star Blues fest. She has changed some since then, she’s better. And I thought she was a fabulous guitar player THEN!
I repeat: Go see this. It’s fine entertainment.
Yes, yes. I got to hear one of my favorites: “Two Trains” by Foley.
Or maybe "Queen Bee" for some fine guitar work.
Labels: He Said She Said, Peter Karp, Sue Foley
