Thinks happen: Rescue

For February let's look at some recent rescues.

I rescanned and looked for more detail but this is it.

This one is a tintype but done on a rigid plastic sheet rather than a metal plate. It's a one-off print made directly on the plate and so it is reversed like a negative. The buttons shown on the left are actually on the right.

It could still be a woman in a man’s shirt. His shape and stance are a bit feminine. The hips are the same width as the shoulders.

I don't know whether it was intentional or not, but the face is quite spooky.
