I’ll spare you the complete rant. Here is the condensed version.
After the big boys drive out all the smaller, competing locals, they decide they can just sell anything to their captive audience. The degeneration is subtle, gentle, slow. We boil into it. Some never notice it.
Youngsters shopping for their new families don’t know any different.
The fresh food is often tasteless, indigestible and downright ugly. If you do find some that is edible, you may acquire a dose of the current affliction of an undocumented worker that picked the “fresh” produce maybe some weeks ago.
The processed food is built through chemistry and made to look edible. Cheese is yellow plastic. “Whole Grain” cereal is one third sugar.
One has only to look at the SHAPE of our children to know where it is going. And our benevolent corporations are instructing their puppets in government to provide less regulation, so that they can not be held responsible for shortening lives or even just killing people.
In other times, a grocer would have been embarrassed
