On February 6, 2010 we lost John Dankworth. Goodbye John, and thanks.
I was working the hospitality room at the festival that year. I only met him and Cleo briefly. He impressed me a lot. I took several on-stage shots but unfortunately this is the only one I could doctor into viewability.
My first exposure was "Experiments with Mice" of course.

Yeah. Good thing that can happen too. I bumped John so I could get Grande Romanza in right after their concert. The Mondays are already set for the next few weeks so since John was already gone a while, I didn't think he'd mind.
